Messe Stuttgart and the ICS International Congress Center Stuttgart have been pointing the way to the future with their sustainable commitment since they opened in October 2007. Our central concern is the careful use of resources and responsible action. As early as 2010, the trade fair company set a trend-setting standard for the industry with its Green Statement. At the beginning of November 2012, Messe Stuttgart and the ICS International Congress Center Stuttgart joined the "fairpflichtet" industry code of conduct launched by the European Association of Event Centres and the German Convention Bureau. By joining the WIN Charta, the sustainability business initiative of the state of Baden-Württemberg, we set forward-looking standards in 2015 against which we measure ourselves on an ongoing basis. Since July 2017, Messe Stuttgart has published its own sustainability report, which is updated on an ongoing basis. The report provides a broad overview of Messe Stuttgart's sustainability activities and goals. Since 2019, Messe Stuttgart has been calculating its CO2 balance annually together with ClimatePartner and investing in the avoidance and reduction of this.
