Maritim Hotelgesellschaft has undertaken to implement sustainable business practices, and has tackled the challenge of delivering on this promise in all 33 Maritim hotels across Germany by taking small but steady steps which combine to form a greater whole. Our employees have already demonstrated a great deal of commitment and dedication by implementing ambitious projects such as the introduction of a centralised recycling system, the coordinated deployment of CHP plants, the use of innovative lighting concepts or the creation of new procurement and supplier structures for the company as a whole. Every Maritim Hotel in Germany has its own Green Team with an externally trained sustainability consultant in order to ensure that hotel employees are alert to any opportunities to protect the environment, because everyone has a part to playing saving resources and reducing energy consumption

Corporate responsibility starts at grass-roots level: The projects are as varied as they are diverse, including the flat-rate Green Meeting conference option offered by all our hotels, the beehives or herb gardens on our hotel roofs and the electric charging stations in front of our hotel as well as regional support for charitable organisations. Sustainability involves a process of constant improvement, with many interim goals along the way. Maritim implements all of its measures with the utmost of care and consistency in order to achieve that these goals can be achieved both now and in the future.
